What is 4-H?
4-H is the Cooperative Extension System’s dynamic and educational program for youth. 4-H has about 6 million youth members across the United States. The name 4-H is summarized as the four-fold development of youth through the Head, Heart, Hands, and Health.In 4-H, young people complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture, and civic engagement, in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. The group is open to youth between the ages of 5 and 18. 4-H Enrollment in North Carolina is FREE!Fill out an enrollment form on 4HOnline; join a 4-H club, pick a project interest; sign up for a workshop; or stop by the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Johnston County Center to talk with Meredith Wood or Kaena Prince, our 4-H Extension Agents.Program Areas:
