What is Safe Plates?

Safe Plates is a Food Protection Manager Certification course in participants are trained in the best food safety practices per the 2017 Food Code. Upon completion of the course, participants are provided an ANSI approved certification exam. 

When is the Next Course Offered?

Due to COVID-19 and CDC guidelines, NC State University’s Food Safety Team has advised agents not to offer Safe Plates for Food Protection Managers in-person during this time.

There is a self-paced online option currently being offered. Participants may register, learn, and study on their own. Certification exams must be proctored at an approved location. For more information, please click here
