Registration for canning workshops has filled extremely fast! Thanks to the large interest in canning classes, we have scheduled TWO additional opportunities.

Please note, if you choose to pay with cash, please have exact change. If paying via check, make checks payable to “Johnston Ag Center” AND write “__(date)___ Canning Class” in the memo line. Credit cards are not accepted in office and card payment must be completed during the registration process.

Boiling Water Canning, preserving fruits & acidic foods. Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 4:30p.m.-8:30p.m. $15, must be registered. You'll learn the science behind canning, discuss the risks and how to prevent them, and identify safe recipe resources. We will conclude with hands-on canning practice.
