Warmer temperatures and longer days are on the horizon and there is no better time than now to start working on our physical activity to help strengthen our bodies for the summer!

Lifelong Improvements Through Fitness Together (L.I.F.T.) is a research-based program that helps develop relationships and improve both functional fitness and emotional health. These sessions help improve strength and mobility, provide information on healthy food options, and most importantly help form a community to socialize and interact with in a virtual world.

L.I.F.T. is an 8-week group-based strength training program that meets twice a week for 1-hour sessions. This program is open to all adults, young and old.

Tuesday and Thursdays, 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m.

Each session begins with a warm up and concludes with a cool down; you’ll receive weekly nutrition newsletters to your email. Participate using your own dumbbells, water bottles or cans, or use your own body weight!

Southeastern NC counties have partnered to offer this virtual fitness program. Agents will instruct the hour-long class and all you have to do is click the link and participate. Classes will be pre-recorded for those that may have a scheduling conflict and have to miss our live class. Making time for exercise can change your life!
