Tobacco Production Meeting

This production meeting will be a return to the typical Extension meeting of several years gone by. This will be solely educational for growers that would like to hear the latest research updates from NC State University. Dr. Matthew Vann, Extension Specialist and Professor from NC State University will be present and the program will include the latest information on varieties, fertilization, sucker control, pest management, and disease management. The meeting will begin promptly at 10 a.m. and end with a sponsored meal at noon. Pesticide credits and CCA credits will be offered. Registration by calling the Johnston County Ag Center at 919-989-5380 or registering at this link, is required.

This meeting will not provide GAP training which will be supplied by US Tobacco Gap Connections. They have a meeting planned for the Johnston County Area on February 16, 2022. Details about that event will be forthcoming.
