Fruit and Nut Tree Pruning Workshop Demonstrations (Two Demonstrations at Separate Locations in One Day!)

These workshops that are open to the public are a must to attend if you want to learn how to correctly prune newly purchased or overgrown neglected fruit and nut trees. Dr. Mike Parker, Fruit and Nut Tree Specialist at NCSU will be holding the first Fruit and Nut Tree pruning demonstration on February 3rd from 10:00 – Noon at the Central Crops Research Station, 13223 US Business 70 W., Clayton NC 27520.

The second pruning demonstration will be held from 2-5:00 p.m. at the location of the Johnston County Community College Arboretum, 245 College Rd., Smithfield NC 27577. At this site, you will learn how to rescue prune neglected, overgrown fruit trees.

Attend just one or attend them both. There will be time to answer questions on insect and disease control as well as pruning questions. This event will be held outside so be sure to dress accordingly.
